New Marantz specialist at Eltraco

Eltraco has hired Matti Luotola as the new Marantz specialist.

Matti is 28 years and from Helsinki in Finland. Before the appointment at Eltraco, he has been working as a Sales Engineer at Nylund Group in Finland.

Matti's main focus will be the Marantz products, operating as an exclusive Sales Support Specialist for the Nordic & Baltic customers. His primary task in the Nordic Market will be taking care of the Marantz training and making sure that all Marantz clients got the latest software and knowledge. Also he will support the Eltraco sales team with his technical experience regarding AOI and SPI solutions.

In his spare time he likes to run and work-out in the fitness club. In the wintertime he prefers snowboarding. He likes good food and travel around meeting new people.

Whenever it's possible he likes to go listen to live music.

Eltraco – the global way

Things are going fast at Eltraco. During the last six month Eltraco changed domicile address and recruited new employees to adapt to the new economic situation in the electronic industry.

Today the pre-owned/used SMT market represents 25 percent of the global machine trade, where as the share recently was 10 percent.

“The development means that a lot of new and modern equipment have found their way to the world market. The typical purchasing timeline for production equipment starts with the first time buyer, who buys equipment with an age between 0-5 years – typical on a leasing agreement, the pre-owned/used market buyers purchase production equipment with an age between 5-8 years and the phasing out market, which are third-times buyers buy more often equipment with an age between 8-12 years. At Eltraco we aim to support those markets globally in accordance with the needs of each individual electronic producer, explains Niels Nyhus Global Export Manager at Eltraco.

The four factors are the markets, manufactures, brokers and financing.

Eltraco operates in U.S. , Asia and European markets with pre-owned/used equipment from Assembléon, Fuji, Mydata, Samsung and Siemens – and many more.

Eltraco has established relation with brokers such as Adopt, Cardinal, Encore, Europe SMT, Partnertec and Tekmart. On the Financing part Eltraco has cooperation with GE Capital, IBM Financial service, KEF Financial Service, Royal Bank of Scotland and Siemens Finance.

Eltraco - service and support are crucial

The worst night mare for electronic producers is when the SMT line is down and all they can do is to wait patiently for technical assistance.

The Eltraco Service Partner consists of 14 technicians, who are all working on a freelance basis covering the whole world. Their technical know-how within the electronic industry is achieved through more than 25 years of experience in connecting all types of SMT equipment like screen-printing, dispensing, pick & place, soldering, inspection and software.

New employees at Eltraco

Even in a financial crises things sometimes change fast to the positive. We at Eltraco see more positive signs from the electronic industry, and are improving our organization. This month we welcome two new colleagues to our global office.

Lene Fischermann; as our new Marketing Manager.
Lene has a proven track record with this industry, and have brought companies like ours into the right spotlight. Lene`s focus will be on Scandinavia with our new equipment business, and help reinforce our used equipment business together with our global Sales Managers.

Gitte Gottlob Krusaa; as our new CFO.
Gitte will strengthen the Back Office together with the team, and keep a sharp look out that Eltraco will continue to develop its financials in a healthy way. Gitte has many years of experience from similar jobs, and as well within the electronics industry.

S.E.E. will be organized every 2 years, starting 13.-15 April 2010. The goal is to attract 10 000 visitors during the three days. Even if the main event will be the large meeting place, there are plans to perform activities on a regular basis up until then.

The event, which has been named S.E.E. - Scandinavian Electronics Event, will be a completely new element for the Swedish electronics industry. It will consist of a number of activities which will highlight current issues, show exhibitors products and solutions and also contribute to the spreading of knowledge.

The Swedish IM Association has taken the initiative in creating a completely new arena for the electronics industry.
